I am not against the idea of specialisation. I argue against the mentality that prioritises one over the other based on prejudice solely. compartmentalisation is a far cry from specialisation in that perspective. ... being open to multiple stimuli is possibly the antagonist of comparmentalised thinking. Further, this view of education is still predominantly present in Indian educational system, and the experience in the system is the fuel for these thoughts :)Susmitahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08011594144238940993noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7735697155627259058.post-43065728100747264002011-02-03T10:38:04.484+07:002011-02-03T10:38:04.484+07:00"developed a particular love of mathematics f..."developed a particular love of mathematics for a short time." :)<br />"In the synthesis of educational subjects, rather than breaking them into small brick houses with tiny windows, lies the natural purpose of education." in complete agreement. <br />However, the compartmentatlisation is inevitable - specially when it comes to specialized tasks. But irrespective the tasks, except for the geniuses, most people perform well when they are "well balanced" :)suphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18054491972977233356noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7735697155627259058.post-78899250950585025652011-01-27T17:35:51.682+07:002011-01-27T17:35:51.682+07:00Thank you SprigBlossoms :) hope to have your activ...Thank you SprigBlossoms :) hope to have your active participation in the upcoming posts too :)Susmitahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08011594144238940993noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7735697155627259058.post-25500046635822621082011-01-26T23:58:20.775+07:002011-01-26T23:58:20.775+07:00great choice!!!
